A man aged 24 from Chisinau was arrested by the police on his way home after he collected a parcel he received from Spain. There was a TV set in the parcel and 300 grams of cocaine were hidden inside this. Such a quantity of drugs on the black market costs about 1 million lei, IPN reports, with reference to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases.

During searches at the person’s domicile in the municipality of Chisinau, there were seized 1,000 self-sealing packs for selling drugs, scales and marijuana.

The young man was placed under arrest for a 30-day period. He is suspected of forming part of the same group of traffickers who were arrested in March. Nine persons were arrested then. Also, the investigation authorities seized different types of drugs to the value of 700,000 lei then.
