Coach Igor Dobrovolski: Match with Latvia is last we played in Tiraspol
The coach of Moldova’s national soccer team, Igor Dobrovolski, told the news conference after the match between Moldova and Latvia on Saturday, September 6, that that was the last match the Tricolori played in Tiraspol, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent reports.
Angry with the result scored by the Moldovans, Dobrovolski emptied his fury on the supporters, saying they were extremely passive. “I don’t want Moldova to play in Tiraspol any more, very few spectators came and they were very silent. If we played in Chisinau, we’d have got quite another atmosphere, and the players would have shown more resoluteness on the field.”
Asked to assess the game, Igor Dobrovolski has said Moldova played extraordinarily and he was pleased to watch the team on the field. “We attacked and created opportunities to score, but we had bad luck,” the coach concluded.
Although he had stated before the match the lack of Nicolae Josan and Alexandru Gatcan could not affect the performance of the national team, the coach had to resort to an experimental squad with Alexandr Suvorov, Serghei Corneencov and Valeriu Andronic, as the three ones were called for the first time to play for Moldova’s official matches.
Dobrovolski has said he offers all the football players the opportunity to play for the national and he was patient that everybody confirms his expectations.
In the end, Dobrovolski has reiterated he will ask the Moldovan Football Federation to let all the matches of the national to be played in Chisinau and that the sportsmen need the audience’s support to perform well.
The next match the Moldova will play on September 10 against Israel. The game will be played in Chisinau on Zimbru’s stadium, starting at 20:30.
