On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, which is marked annually on October 1, the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) for the first time will hold the Doors Open Day for golden age beneficiaries. The event will take place on Tuesday at the local houses of social insurance in all districts.
Although it is a premiere for now, CNAS aims to make this event a tradition so that the “golden age” beneficiaries feel more special. “We are waiting for pensioners and those who will retire in the near future and want to become familiar with the field of state social insurance. Visitors will be able to participate in roundtable meetings with specialists and the management of local houses of social insurance. They will be informed about the legislative changes, but, most importantly, they will be able to attend practical workshops on the use of electronic services,” the head of the company’s Information and Communication Department Petru Socolan has told IPN.
All electronic services are available on the CNAS’ website. There, pensioners can apply to have the pension set or reexamined, to have the retirement age calculated, to submit petitions and check their own state social insurance account.
At the moment, old-age pensions in the Republic of Moldova are paid to women older than 61 and men over 63 years old. The number of pensioners exceeds 673,000. Another 87,000 beneficiaries collect allowances.
