The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) said the payment of pensions, allowances, financial support, assistance and compensations this month were made on time and in full amount. The last transfer for paying social welfare, including child benefit and allowance for temporary incapacity for work, in the amount of 248.5 million lei was made on May 13. The CNAS assures there are now no overdue payments, IPN reports.

In a press release, the institution says the money can be collected from the banks where the social or salary accounts were opened. If the recipient of welfare does not hold a bank card, the money can be received at any post office, regardless of the place of domicile.

The sums that remain unclaimed from Moldova’s Post Office are monthly returned to the account of the CNAS and are included in the payment for the next month.

In accordance with an ordinance made by the Commission for Exceptional Situations on March 23, the CNAS since April has transferred the social welfare, such as allowances for families with children, maternity allowance, paternity allowance and allowance for temporary incapacity for work – to the salary accounts of recipients, based on information presented by banks.
