The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved the allocation of about 1 million lei for organizing the visit of the official delegations, invited to take part in celebrating Chisinau Day, organized traditionally on 14 October. CMC took this decision on Thursday, 20 July. During the meeting, the head of the International Department, Ion Capatana, said that 30 delegations from 30 partner cities are invited, on 12-15 October to Chisinau, each of them being composed of three persons. According to him, past years experience shows that only half of the guests usually reply to the invitation, but the financial report was done for the possible arrival of all delegations, as Chisinau celebrates 570 years since its first mentioning in historical documents, and a huge participation to the events is expected. The councilors voted for the requested amount, and required that the International Department of the Chisinau mayoralty should further present the necessary expenses for such events when approving the budget. The report covers the accommodation, 3 meals a day and guests' local transport expenses.
