The draft municipal budget for 2012 was included in the February 16 meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) and is to be approved in first reading, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Finance Division’s head Veronica Hertsa Monday said the draft budget was examined by most of the commissions. On Tuesday, it is to be endorsed by the last commission, that for construction and architecture. The budget for the first reading is the same as that presented in the public debates of December 14, 2011. “For the second reading, we specified the incomes and expenditure, based on the fulfillment of the 2011 budget. The budget for the second reading is close to being finished. We are only to agree certain details with the Transport Division, some of the suburbs and the Capital Constructions Division. We hope that it will be submitted to the Council for examination this week,” said Veronica Hertsa. Under the draft budget presented in the December 14 public debates, the revenues in 2012 will total 2.39 billion lei, by almost half a billion lei more than in 2011. The expenditure will be 2.61 billion lei, up 13% or 300 million lei compared with last year.
