CMC meeting to continue Tuesday

The agenda of the meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) opened on June 11 has not been fully considered today as well. The councilors set a new meeting for July 7, Info-Prim Neo reports. Chair Alexandru Corduneanu, leader of the faction of the Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD), said the meeting was adjourned as the quorum was not present. After the pause announced at 16.00, the councilors of the faction of the Communist Party (PCRM) did not return to the assembly hall. Owing to a shortage of votes, the annex about the budget allocations for the healthcare sector was not adopted on Thursday. The project on the extensive repair of a number of institutions of the Culture Division of the Chisinau City Hall wasn’t approved either. The leaders of the Liberal and Liberal-Democratic factions and of the faction of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) expressed dissatisfaction with the non-participation of the PCRM and PPCD representatives in the vote. According to Pavel Caba, chairman of the AMN faction, the leaders of all the factions in the CMC had a meeting on Wednesday morning and agreed that all the issues included in Thursday’s agenda will be examined.
