The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) has approved a commission and an expense estimate for spring recruitment of youths from the Chisinau municipality for military service, short-term military service and alternative service. Thus, CMC has decided to allocate 44,586 lei to the military service of the Chisinau municipality for organisation and conduct of recruitment of youths for military service and alternative service this spring. The largest amount of 30,650 lei will be used for organisation and conduct of festivities – enrolment day. According to a communication of the Military Centre, about 3,000 youths are being notified that they will have to pass a medical control and about 400 youths will be enrolled. As many as 374 youths from the Chisinau municipality were recruited for military service, two recruits for short-term military service and 92 recruits for civil service last autumn.
