Clocks go forward this Sunday, perhaps for last time

EU member states have until April to decide if they want to stick permanently to summer or winter time, and whatever the European Union chooses Moldova will adopt, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure said in a press release.

Until then however, our country will switch to summer time, or daylight saving time (DST), on the last Sunday of March, which falls this Sunday. We will move our clocks one hour forward, as 2:00 a.m. becomes 3:00 a.m.

This is perhaps the last time we do this, as a EU survey showed strong public support (84%) in favor of scrapping the DST, which ends on 27 October 2019.
