After becoming one of the most sold Romanian singer, turning into a real phenomenon, Cleopatra Stratan has conquered hearts in Japan too, a country in which her debut album “At the Age of Three” is to be launched next week, on April 18. According to Romanian media her “trip” to the Land of the Rising Sun has started in autumn of 2006, when her video for the song “Ghita” was showed during a Japanese TV show. The result was astonishing, as the Japanese music charts suddenly were conquered by the little singer, making her become a super star. But the Japanese did not want to stop on this. “We were called by representatives from Pony Canyon Inc., one of the biggest recording companies in Japan. Together with Cat Music, the recording house representing us in Romania we have followed all the procedures of collaboration, so that Cleopatra’s debut album “At the Age of Three” will be launched in Japan”, says Pavel Stratan. Although “Ghita” song has an English version, specially recorded for the foreign markets, the Japanese were more likely to accept the original version, in Romanian. Although Pavel Stratan has confirmed that are already some proposals from European countries, and it is more than sure that her album will be launched as well in some of them, he has refuted the idea about a possible performance of the little Cleopatra in a solo concert. “There is no such amount of money to make me let Cleopatra have a concert of her own, somewhere in the world. Right now the kindergarten is much more important for her, than being a world famous super star,” points out Cleopatra’s careful father. Nevertheless her artistic career is not to be left neglected, as she is already preparing for shooting a new video on her “Counting to One” song. “Cleopatra is at a Chisinau private kindergarten and I am working on a new project of my own, but we plan to visit Bucharest for the new video shooting”, says Pavel.
