The Chisinau City Hall extended the cleanup campaign “Come on, Chisinau!” to the suburban settlements forming part of the municipality. The suburbs will take part in the cleanest settlement contest whose prize represents laying out works to the value of 100,000 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the City Hall. The authorities invited all the residents of the suburban settlements to participate in the March 31 cleanup on the streets and in the parks of their community. A jury constituted by the City Hall will select the cleanest settlement. On March 20, Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca announced the launch of the campaign “Come on, Chisinau!” and urged the people to take part in cleaning the yards of their apartment buildings and the green areas of Chisinau. Five prizes will be awarded for the cleanest yard in every district. They will consist of laying out works of up to 100,000 lei. The students will be able to compete in the contest of photographs “I and my family – we all like cleanness”.
