Civil servant will pay fine for falsifying soldier’s record books

A woman from Soroca district, who worked as a civil protection specialist at the Soroca District Council, will pay a fine of 8,000 lei for falsifying soldier’s record books, IPN has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office.

In 2010 – 2011, the offender introduced false data in soldier’s record books as if five recruits did the civil, alternative service. Under the civil service contracts, the recruits must present themselves monthly at the competent bodies and pay 25% of the salary they received during a year. But the culprit didn’t indicate this money in the accounting documents, causing thus considerable damage to the state.

The 27-year-old woman will be unable to hold public posts during the next three years. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
