“Civic Mandate” addresses PDM and Marian Lupu
The Social Initiative Group “Civic Mandate” sent a statement with suggestions, questions and requests of the people, signed by 100,000 persons from all the large settlements of Moldova, to the leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) Marian Lupu, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the party’s Public Relations Department.
The “Civic Mandate” launched an event with the slogan “Responsibility of the Power - the Country’s Welfare”, which brought together about 1,000 activists in Chisinau’s central garden. The initiators said they chose the Democrat Party because it proposes forming a national unity government and because the Democrats do not engage in political intrigues and do not respond to the challenges of the right or left radical forces. Marian Lupu is able to ensure the development of friendship relations with all the neighbors and keep the country’s status of neutrality and sovereignty. “He will help us become part of Europe and will strengthen the strategic partnership with Russia,” said members of the Group.
The Social Initiative Group “Civic Mandate” was founded early this month. It includes about 1,000 activists. The major aim of the Group is to encourage the Chisinau residents to take an active part in the November 28 elections.
