The City Hall of Chisinau city intends to place in the center of Chisinau a sculptural compound entitled “Dragos Voda – first ruler of Moldova”. In the period during September 8 – October 13, the City Hall of Chisinau organizes an open municipal contest for the elaboration of the sculpture’s concept. The deputy mayor Veaceslav Iordan signed an ordinance in this respect. The complex will have a fountain and will be constructed at the crossing of Sfatul Tarii and Stefan cel Mare si Sfant bd., close to the building of the Ministry of Agriculture. The City Hall proposes to create a unique urban composition of the sculpture with fountain. Best architectural-artistic traditions will be taken into consideration at the elaboration of the sculpture. The contest will be organized under the patronage of President Vladimir Voronin, Union of Writers, Union of Plastic Artists and City Hall of Chisinau.
