City Hall is searching for investors in order to create a Business Incubator

The City Hall of the municipality of Chisinau is searching for investors in order to renew a building where a Business Incubator could be opened. It will be located on an area of 3 floors in the edifice on Alba Iulia Street which belongs to the former “Alfa” enterprise which was producing TV sets. The Municipal Council, Mihai Roscovan recently declared, at a meeting with a group of Portuguese investors that the authorities intend to renew the space with a total area of 9.7 thousand meters in order to create a Business Incubator. The social capital proposed for renovation belongs 99.9% to the local Council. According to the estimation of the experts, EUR 60- 70 per meter will be needed for the works. The City Hall is even willing to sell two of those three floors, and with the obtained money to renovate one floor for the implementation of the aforementioned project. Although the first floor of the building belongs to several economic agents, Mihai Roscovan says that it is possible to build a staircase which could allow directly entering to the upper floors. Although the purchase of those 2 floors could be a very good investment for offices, Mihai Roscovan says that the spaces could also be used for production because the height of one floor is about 6 meters. According to the cited source, there are few spaces in Chisinau where a single floor has 3 thousand square meters.
