The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) set up a commission that will prepare the documents needed to put the investment project at the lake in Valea Morilor Park up for tender contest in the second quarter of 2010, Info-Prim Neo reports. The works to clean the lake started several years ago, but stopped last year owing to a shortage of funds and the lack of a related project. The Chisinau-Proiect Institute was selected by tender contest to devise an investment project in 2009, but the works were suspended as there was no money. According to the chief architect of Chisinau Vladimir Modarca, about 60 million lei is needed to clean and lay out the lake. Thus, CMC decided to start organizing an investment contest. Four divisions – the Economy Division, the Capital Constructions Division, the Architecture Division, and the Green Spaces Association – will formulate the specifications during three months. Afterward, the Council will approve them and announce the contest.
