The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) selected the candidates for the post of member of the Chisinau District Electoral Council. These are Victor Puiu and Ion Dorogoi (basic members), and Tamara Rosca and Iuliana Rotari (substitute members), Info Prim Neo reports. “It was more a technical procedure. We chose two fully-fledged members and two substitutes who will replace the basic candidates if need be,” said the CMC chairman Ghenadie Dumanschi. The Central Election Commission will examine the candidates and then constitute the Chisinau District Electoral Council No. 1. Under the electoral legislation, two candidates for the District Electoral Councils of the second level are proposed by the court or the Court of Appeals, while the other two candidates by the local councils of the second level and the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia. The Chisinau Municipal Council designates candidates for the Chisinau District Electoral Council No.1.
