Citizens will pay less for particular notarial services

The legislative body on July 20 adopted a bill that provides for the diminution of the charge levied by notaries for legalizing inheritance documents to 150 lei. The bill was passed in the final reading by the votes of 55 MPs of those attending, IPN reports.

According to the Parliament’s press service, a charge of 150 lei will be paid for each property for being issued with a legal heir certificate for real estate situated in villages and communes, except for farmland and land on which there is no construction.

The legislative initiative was proposed by a group of Democratic MPs who argued the law is designed to reduce the number of services and costs incurred by the citizens who apply for inheritance documents and who need to register the ownership right based on the legal heir certificate.

Now the charge for issuing a legal heir certificate represents a particular percentage of the value of the inherited property, no matter where it is situated.
