Citizens won’t have to pay anymore the difference registered between the figures of the meter at the entry in the apartment block and those of meters from their individual apartments, the general interim mayor of the Chisinau municipality, Vasile Ursu says. According to his words, this problem is already being solved via a recent decision of the Government concerning the exploitation of the water supply network inside the apartment block. According to this decision, the administrator of the dwellings fund, including those of the cooperatives association or municipal enterprises are to conclude a contract with “Apa-Canal” JSC, for the interior engineer networks aid. Thus, the administrator is to pay 96 bani per each square meter of space for cold water and 78 bani for hot water. “People won’t be obliged to pay this difference in volume, if a contract is concluded between the water supply enterprise and the administrator of the dwellings fund, who will be the guarantor of paying the respective service”, - Vasile Ursu declared. At the same time, according to the mayor, since the moment of signing this contract, the water supply company is responsible for the well functioning of all elements of the water supply system, even for the tap in the apartment. Vasile Ursu mentioned that there are 2800 apartment blocks who request the intervention of “Apa-Canal” for solving the problems related to water supply. In case that the enterprise does not like the meters from the apartments, it can replace them by new ones but only from its own budget, says Vasile Ursu, cited by Info-Prim Neo.
