Citizens will be able to notify authorities on-line about misdemeanors witnessed

The citizens will be able to notify local authorities about any type of violation, by publishing photos and videos on the website www.implicare.md, presented on Thursday by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications. The site will go live on November 1, reports Info-Prim Neo. Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Pavel Filip stated during a press conference that by launching this website authorities aim at encouraging citizens not to pass by misdemeanors indifferently. “The portal was created for those who are tired of being indifferent and tolerant towards such situations in their community or neighborhood, that is for those who want to get involved in solving problems”, said the Minister. The partners of the project are the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice. Each of the institutions will have moderators appointed, who will examine the notifications posted on the website. The site also has the feedback option, which will allow the user to ask questions, as well as submit suggestions and complaints related to the portal. An essential requirement of the project is to reject anonymity. Every author will have to register on the website, by introducing data from his/her ID. Imagery uploaders must bear in mind that they can be summoned as witnesses in court. It was also proposed to reward the authors of images, using money from the fines issued. The method of calculating the rewards has not been developed yet, but will be implemented along the way.
