The citizens and business entities in Chisinau can take free the broken tree branches collected as a result of the mid-April snowfalls. Those interested can submit applications to the district head’s office for being authorized, while the Green Areas Association will coordinate the collection activity, IPN reports.

Under an order made by deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu, the move is aimed at avoiding incidents at the temporary storage places in Chisinau municipality, such as the recent fires.

On July 26, the Chisinau Municipal Council approved a decision stipulating that the branches that fell as a result of the mid-April snowfalls and were taken to temporary storage places, including on the territory of education institutions, should be taken away until September 1. In parks, woods, public gardens, squares and on the main arteries, the branches are to be collected and taken away by this yearend.
