The Moldovan citizens who are abroad can register beforehand so as to take part in the November 1, 2020 presidential elections, IPN reports.
The Central Election Commission said the goal of such registration is to estimate the number of Moldovans who will vote outside the country and at polling stations established for voters from the Transnistrian region in Moldovan-administered districts.
The Moldovan authorities, with the consent of the authorities of the given country, will consider the possibility of establishing additional polling places abroad. The registration in advance also enables to estimate the number of ballots that should be distributed to polling places abroad.
The persons can register beforehand by submitting an individual or group application to the Central Election Commission at 119 V. Alecsandri St in Chisinau, MD-2012, or to Moldova’s embassies and consular offices. The procedure can be also performed online on inregistrare.cec.md.
