The Romanian Government, led by Marcel Ciolacu, which includes ministers of the PSD, PNL and UDMR, received the investiture vote on Monday evening, in a plenary session of the Parliament of Romania. There were 383 valid votes cast, of which 240 were "for", IPN reports, with reference to Mediafax.

"According to the provisions of Article 103 paragraph 3 of the Constitution of Romania, in the republished edition, the Parliament gives a vote of confidence to the Government with a majority of votes of deputies and senators, i.e. at least 233 votes in favor," said deputy Daniel Suciu, who presented the minutes on the result of the vote.

Prime Minister-designate Marcel Ciolacu thanked the people who voted for him, but also those who voted against. "I hope to have a dialogue during these four years with both my colleagues from the government and those who are in the opposition," said the official.

The members of the Romanian Government took the oath of office at the Cotroceni Palace.
