Chisinau has a Christmas tree. Employees of the Green Areas Association have installed it in the Great National Assembly Square today, November 30, but will decorate it tomorrow, when the winter holidays in the capital city will be opened officially. Eliferie Haruta, the head of the Green Areas Association, has told Info-Prim Neo that the fir tree was brought from Botanica district and cost 9,000 lei. It is 18 meters in height and will be trimmed with old and new ornaments, bought from two Chisinau shopping centers. One of the workers placing the fir tree, Vasile Frunze, said the tree is more beautiful than last year even if it is not as tall. The winter holidays in Chisinau will be opened on December 1 at 5pm.
