The fir tree bought the municipality of Chisinau in Ukraine ultimately got to the capital city. This was installed in the Great National Assembly Square. Employees of the Green Areas Association cut down the branches that were damaged during transportation. These will be replaced with new branches that will be fixed with the help of rods so that the tree looks nice, IPN reports.
The workers said the fir tree will be decorated on another day as it is raining now. Most probably, this will be adorned on Sunday and the Christmas tree will be inaugurated at the start of next week.
The fir tree was bought for over 15,000 lei in the Ukrainian region Ivano-Frankivsk and is about 29 meters in height. Under an order signed by acting mayor general of Chisinau Silvia Radu, the competent municipal services were to decorate the tree by November 30 so that it could be inaugurated on December 1, at 5:30pm.
