The fir tree that will be the Christmas tree this year arrived in Chisinau without incidents. The narrow streets in Cosernita village, from where the fir was brought, hampered the truck from moving easily, but the tree was ultimately loaded and conveyed to Chisinau. As every year, a police patrol accompanied the truck carrying the fir, IPN reports.
Twelve persons worked for several hours in the Great National Assembly Square to set up the tree. The head of the Green Areas Association Eliferii Haruta said the fir will be decorated on Wednesday and Thursday and on December 1 the holiday lights will be switched on.
