The Cricova mayor’s office has inaugurated the Christmas tree. For the fifth consecutive year, the residents of Cricova have had an artificial tree that is 12 meters high in the center of the town. In the inauguration ceremony, the children attending the event received gifts and candies, IPN reports.

Mayor of Cricova Valentin Gutan said the holiday lighting in the town was switched on.

A Christmas artistic program with games and songs was staged for about 100 children from socially deprived families. The event was supported by a nongovernmental organization.
