The artificial fir tree donated to the municipality by Ecocasa will have a conic form and will be illuminated by light emitting diodes. Contacted by IPN, the company’s sales manager Denis Găleanu said the tree has a rigid conic metallic structure inside. The branches that are attached to the structure are from polychlorinated vinyl and will imitate the branches of a natural fir tree.

The tree will not be decorated with classical baubles. It will have LED decorations. The construction can be used for seven-eight years and can be then renewed by using the old structure and by modifying the decorations only.

The municipality will allocate 90,000 lei for building the base of the fir tree that will be 3 meters in height. The rest of the tree will be 17 meters high and will be donated by Ecocasa to the municipality. In Chisinau, the Christmas tree in and the winter holidays will be inaugurated on December 5.
