Christmas Fair in square of National Palace to be inaugurated Dec. 24

The Christmas Fair organized by the Government in the square of the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac” will be officially opened on December 24. Festive winter activities will be staged all over the country. Concerts will be held in districts, while the artistic program “Winter Tale” will be presented in children’s homes and placement centers in a number of villages and towns, IPN reports.

The Christmas Fair will consist of a number of recreation areas and children will be able to enter Santa’s House. Professional cooks will prepare delicacies, while craftspeople will present and sell their works.

The program of activities includes the charitable concert “Winter Tale” that will involve Alex Calancea’s Band and the Osoianu Sisters. About 150 orphans and older people from the municipality of Chisinau will be invited to performances at the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac”.

The concerts given at the National Palace will be broadcast live on the LED display placed in the square. They will feature Vali Boghean, Alex Calancea Band, Cătălin Josan, the Osoianu sisters, Cristina Scarlat, Pasha Parfeni, Nadia Trohin and others.

The Christmas Fair will work daily between 10am and 10pm until January 9. The cultural-artistic program will be posted daily on the Ministry of Culture’s website.
