Christmas concert on stage of National Palace square

Folkloric bands will perform on the stage set up in the square of the National Palace during the day on January 7, when Christmas is observed according to the old calendar. In the evening, a performance will be given by the ethnic folkloric ensemble “Plăieșii”, the ensemble “Crenguța de Iederă”, the troupe “Via Daca” and singers Tatiana Turtureanu, Stela Botez and Maria Iliuț, IPN reports.

The first concert starts at 10am. This will involve the folkloric group “Șezătoarea” of Criuleni town, the folkloric group “Răzășeana” of Drăsliceni village, the Polish song and dance ensemble of the Glodeni House of Culture “Styrczanskie Dzwoneczki”, the folkloric group of Bulboaca village of Anenii Noi district and the folkloric group “Dor de Basarabie” of Roșcani village of Anenii Noi district.

There next day, the same stage will be occupied by the folk music orchestra “Rapsozii Cimișliei” and the folkloric group “Busuioc moldovenesc” starting at 12 noon. A performance will be given by the Brass Band of the Border Police beginning at 5pm, while Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici Band will give a recital starting at 6pm.

On the last day of the Christmas Fair, January 9, the visitors will be able to see a performance featuring the folk music groups “Mugurașii”, “Teiuș”, “Cusărenii”, “Vatra Satului” and “Busuiocul” of Ocnița starting at 1pm. Nadia Trohin and Cătălin Josan will perform starting at 6pm. At 10pm, the Christmas Fair will be closed.
