Christmas Caravan will reach about 3000 children this year

About 3300 children in orphanages, boarding schools and disadvantaged families on the both sides of the Nistru will receive gifts from the members of Clipa Siderala volunteers as part of the traditional Christmas Caravan. This will be the 18th edition of the campaign, IPN reports.

Every morning between 8 AM and 9 AM, in the Great National Assembly Square, the Christmas Caravan bus will collect gifts from those willing to send a present to orphans and children in vulnerable families. Between December 11 and 22, the Caravan will reach children in 21 towns and villages.

So far, the volunteers have visited the boarding houses in Nisporeni, Straseni and Visoca village, Soroca district, as well as the vocational school in Volovita village, Soroca district. Today, December 13, the Christmas Caravan will reach the boarding school in Carpineni village and the children in disadvantaged families in Negrea village, Hancesti district.

The gifts for children include chocolates, candies, biscuits, fruit and toys. Donors can make a gift of their own and bring it to the bus in the Great National Assembly Square or can simply transfer money to the organizers of the campaign, who will then use the money to buy gifts.
