Christmas Caravan sets off on December 14
The traditional Christmas Caravan mounted by “Clipa Siderala” Foundation will set out on December 14 and end its journey on December 23. As the previous years, its aim is to take candies and presents to children from boarding schools and from underprivileged families, project manager Silvia Bradutan said in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The Caravan involves companies, organizations and kindhearted people, said the president of “Clipa Siderala” Foundation Salavat Jdanov. He stressed the participants will be able to hand over the presents themselves, without intermediaries.
Two contests will be staged within the Caravan. The first - “Moment of Talents”- is intended for children from orphanages, while the second - “My Caravan” - for children from Chisinau high schools. The competitors will win diplomas, gifts and money awards.
The Caravan will visit more than 3,500 children from 21 boarding schools, vocational schools, rehabilitation centers, a penal colony and a rural school.
The Children's Charitable Foundation “Clipa Siderala” has staged the Christmas Caravan since 1997.
