Christmas Caravan reached over 2500 children
The Christmas Caravan brought gifts to over 2500 children across the country. The visited places included 8 boarding schools, 2 vocational schools, 4 rehabilitation centers for children and a penitentiary for minors. Children from needy families in 6 villages received gifts as well, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Irina Babuhin, “Clipa Siderala” volunteer, said during a round-up event that pupils from 22 lyceums and students from the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts joined the action. Representatives of Magician Club Moldova, the Moldovan Football Federation, the Calipso Dance Ensemble and others visited the children as well.
Many people brought sweets, fruits, clothes, school tools for the children at the bus of the Christmas Caravan in the Great National Assembly Square. “As usually, the children we visited have been impressed by presents and prizes, but most of all by the holiday brought to them by pupils from Chisinau”, said Irina Babuhin.
“Clipa Siderala” Foundation organized a party in token of thankfulness for the pupils from Chisinau lyceums. They danced and participated in contests such as the best photo, the best video and others.
The Christmas Caravan took place between December 14 and 23. The campaign has been organized since 1997 by the Foundation for Children “Clipa Siderala”.
