Christian-Democrat Angela Arama starts as a photographer

The first personal photographs exhibition of the Christian-Democrat MP Angela Arama was inaugurated at the Exhibition Centre “Constantin Brancusi” on January 15. The author told Info-Prim Neo that the exhibit is designed to make the people more aware of what the nature offers every day. Even if she entered Parliament, she never forgot what joys a sunset or a sunrise can produce, Angela Arama said. The exhibit is titled “Click! on the Moment” and includes over 100 photos that represent impressions from trips to Romania, to Strasbourg and London, from the visits made by the MP Angela Arama to Moldova’s villages. Poppy fields, apples, horses, static nature with table lamps, buildings, urban and rural sceneries are among the themes of the exhibited works. Some of the photos display an object from different angles and are exhibited in a series. Angela Arama says that the nature is a master that lacks arrogance and does not think of remaining in history. Every moment, every landscape is unique and becomes different with the passing of a cloud. You must only notice and “Click!”, the photographer says. At the inaugural ceremony, artist Tudor Zbarnea, director of the National Museum of Art, said that by this exhibit Angela Arama proves that she is a real artist of photography. A number of pictures are beyond the idea of instantaneousness. Many images represent forms that seem to be alive, Tudor Zbarnea said. The party colleagues Iurie Rosca and Alexandru Corduneanu, the head of the parliamentary commission of which Angela Arama forms part, the Communist MP Victor Stepaniuc, actors, fellow journalists, students, producers and friends came to congratulate the photographer. The MPs were impressed by the new feature they identified in the personality of Angela Arama. A number of photographs of her volume of poetry and graphics “It seems ….. I got mad!” published in 2005 can be admired in the hall of the Exhibition Centre “Constantin Brancusi”. Angela Arama was born in Cornesti village, Ungheni district. She graduated from the State University of Moldova, journalism department, and from the European Institute for Political Studies. She worked as radio announcer, producer and presenter of cultural programmes at Teleradio-Moldova Company. In 2005, she became PPCD MP in the Moldovan Parliament. She contributes to Capitala Magazin, VIP Magazin, Sud-Est Cultural, Flux.
