The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry is launching a campaign to encourage the consumption of local products during the winter holidays and throughout the year. The first stage will run until March 1, IPN reports.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, overall agricultural production in households of all categories fell by 6.8% in January-September 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, and it is essential to support local farmers and producers, a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said.

Every purchase marked "Choose local product for Christmas. And all year around" contributes to the development of rural communities and capitalizes on local economic potential, the source said.
