Municipal fountains will be turned on in Chisinau starting on May 1. Specialists are currently checking equipment such as pumps, taps and piping, and carrying out landscaping and repair work on the surrounding areas and the fountains themselves, so that they can be switched on ahead of the Easter holidays, the Chisinau City Hall announced.

In the central part of the city, checks were performed at the fountains in Ștefan cel Mare Park and the National Opera Square.

Maintenance works were also carried out on the fountains at the Memorial Complex in Râșcani sector, and at the Waterfall Stairs in Valea Morilor Park.

Also, checks were carried out at the fountains in the parks Șipca, La Izvor, and Alunelul, which were built from scratch by the municipality in the last three years.

There are 14 public fountains in Chisinau.
