The priorities of the Moldovan presidency included the development of commercial relations between the countries, especially through the transport corridor, and the necessary relevant documents were signed, and the strengthening of the political dialogue with the GUAM partners. During our presidency, we insisted on a multilateral dialogue between our countries within international organizations,” stated MP Vadim Pistrinciuc, president of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly.
“The unrecognized, secessionist territories, the foreign military presence on the territory of our country, aspects related to energy dependence, propaganda and misinformation represent threats to regional security. That’s why we need common actions to promote our interests and aspirations at international level,” said Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu.
President of the Baltic Assembly Valerijus Simulik said GUAM is an important instrument of cooperation and the Baltic Assembly will offer assistance in implementing reforms in the GUAM countries, strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring regional security.
The GUAM aims to develop cooperation between the states by strengthening stability and common security in the European space.
