Structured information about Chisinau’s historical area is concentrated in the book “The Historical Center of Chisinau at the beginning of 21st century. List of architectural monuments”, launched on Thursday, March 10. The volume comprises information about the city’s most important buildings and their cultural and historical value, Info-Prim Neo reports. “This launching is a dream come true, a dream of all who worked on it, a dream that lasted 10 years”, said Boris Gangal, one of the authors. The book includes information about monuments’ owners and architects, about modifications suffered by buildings, about their stylistic and architectural particularities. “The book is pretty big, it includes 900 addresses. Sometimes, an address has two or even three monuments. It begins with a short history of the city, written on most readers’ understanding. Book’s core is the description of monuments in streets’ alphabetical order”, said Tamar Nesterov, doctor of Arts. According to Tudor Stavila, doctor of Arts, this tome has a brand new concept for Moldova, a logical structure and the most precise information about Chisinau’s historical center.
