The collections of Chisinau city into the state budget and the municipal budget in the first half of this year decreased by 352.3 million lei, while the volume of services for payment provided for the population dropped by 4.5%, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the preliminary data of the Chisinau Council’s General Economy and Reforms Division, 2.299,7 billion lei were collected in Chisinau for the state budget and the municipal budget over January-June this year. Of this sum, 682.5 million lei represented collections into the municipal budget. Compared with the corresponding period last year, the volume of collections into the municipal budget fell by 144.6 million lei. A sum of 1.514,2 billion lei was collected in the municipality of Chisinau for the social insurance budget, up 52.7 million or 3.6% from a year earlier. The collections into the Fund of the National Health Insurance Company were about 402.6 million lei, an increase of 20.9% compared with January-June 2008. The services for payment provided for the population totaled 2.866,7 billion lei, a 4.5 % decrease, in current prices, compared with the same period last year. The private companies provided 38.3% of the total services, while the joint, public and private companies – 11.8% of the services.
