The Chisinau Youth Orchestra is organizing a meeting with young musicians who want to form part of this musical project. The information session will take place at the Knowledge House, Bloc C of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova on April 9, at 5pm, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the project, the participants in the event will learn about the Chisinau Youth Orchestra and the future pre-selection and how they can take part in the largest musical project initiated in Moldova. Students of musical schools and applicants for a master’s degree at musical institutions are expected to take part in the event. “We want to choose the most talented and conscientious musicians for the Chisinau Youth Orchestra,” said project coordinator Andriano Marian.
The Chisinau Youth Orchestra is a cultural project implemented in Moldova the third year in a row. For the first time in Moldova, 70 young instrumentalists trained by five specialists from the fields of music and informal education will constitute a youth orchestra. They will give five classical music concerts, one of which in the open air, in Moldova’s Balti and Chisinau and in Romania’s Sinaia and Bucharest this August.
The first youth orchestra in the world - Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela - appeared in Venezuela in 1975. The idea of forming such an orchestra was soon borrowed by many countries.
