A woman aged 49 from Chisinau faces 15 years behind bars for killing her husband. She committed the crime after she found out that her husband cheated on her with another woman, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the crime was committed in the evening of December 6, in the victim’s house situated in Botanica district. The woman lived separately. That evening, she came to discuss with her husband. They sat at the table together, but when the woman found out that her husband cheated on her, she decided to take revenge. She took a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband mortally in the thorax. She didn’t give him first aid.

The woman is investigated under arrest. If she is found guilty, she will serve 10 to 15 years in jail for intentional murder.
