Chisinau woman assaulted in potential park rape
A 40-year-old woman has been hospitalized in what doctors describe as “very critical condition”, after being assaulted while walking trough a park in Chisinau on Monday evening. The woman was found at around 8:00 pm by a police patrol. The victim bore evident signs of aggression.
Doctor coordinator of the Chisinau Emergency Service Anatol Proca has told Info-Prim Neo that the ambulance crew called to the scene diagnosed the woman with head trauma, cerebral contusion, and contusions of the facial and neck soft tissues. Doctors do not rule out that the woman was also raped. The victim has fallen into a 3rd-degree coma. The Ciocana District Police are handling the case.
The same day, a man thought to be around 60 was found lying dead next to the fence surrounding a bar called “Absent”, located on Independentei Street. His identity hasn’t been established yet. Coroners are investigating to establish the cause of the death.
