Chisinau woman accuses Cadaster Office of dispossessing her of part of house
A woman from Chisinau, Galina Grosei, claims she was dispossessed of a part of property owing to the incompetence of the Chisinau Cadaster Office, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Galina Grosei, the documents registered with the Chisinau Cadaster Office include seven persons as co-owners of the house, but they do not have ownership rights over it. “Employees of the Cadaster Offices admitted they are guilty, but said they can do nothing,” the woman said in a news conference.
Galina Grosei said she built a house on Lev Tolstoi St in Chisinau in 2001. When she went to the Cadaster Office to document her ownership rights, the woman found out that seven more persons were registered in her house.
Galina Grosei's lawyer Roman Zadoinov said the woman also found out that some of the co-owners donated or sold their parts and she owned only 1/8 of her house. He announced the Chisinau Cadaster Office was sued and the co-owners of the house will be also involved in the trial.
Galina Grosei filed a complaint to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Justice, but received evasive answers.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the deputy head of the state-run company Cadaster Inga Grecu-Stavila said the institution's employees are competent and do their jobs professionally. “I cannot comment on this case as I must study it first. If several persons own a building, each of these persons can ask to have their part recalculated or, if possible, to stop the division of the common property,” Inga Grecu-Stavila explained.
