Chisinau will host technical-applicative seminar on child counseling
A technical-applicative seminar themed “Counseling Techniques for Children” will take place in Chisinau on September 26 – 28. The seminar is organized by the Family Counseling and Therapy Association of Romania in partnership with the Counseling and Professional Improvement Center “Universitas”, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to organizers, this seminar is a work and discussion platform between the current and future professionals and will be given by senior psychologist Cristian Petrescu of the Iasi-based University Psychiatry Hospital “Socola”, who is therapist and accredited lecturer and president of the Family Counseling and Therapy Association of Romania.
The seminar will center on the child development stages, the child-child and adult-child conflicts, the assessment of the family resources and capacities and optimal working methods in counseling, with emphasis on case studies and demonstrations. The practitioners working with minors and their families would be familiarized with a Counseling Textbook of over 200 pages, which includes theory and practice – work cards.
Social workers, teachers, psycho-pedagogues, psychologists, doctors or other specialists that deal with counseling and last-year students at relevant faculties are invited to take part in the seminar.
