Chisinau trolleybus company's accounts remain frozen
The Electric Transport Company may stop work owing to the debt of 15 million lei claimed by Electroplus and the freezing of its accounts. The electricity bills must be paid by June 16. Otherwise, Union Fenosa will disconnect the company from the power supply, the company's head Gheorghe Margoci said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
According to Morgoci, the company's accounts were frozen by the Enforcement Office of the Buiucani court even if there is no irrevocable decision to this effect. More than 4 million lei is now in the accounts. Gheorghe Morgoci sought help from the City Hall in solving the problem.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the founders of Electroplus should be identified as he questions the fact that the Electric Transport Company owes 15 million lei to it. He said the managers of Electroplus, which was created in an offshore area, aim to destroy this service. He assured that the City Hall will allocate money to the Electric Transport Company if need be.
The head of the City Hall's Law Division Diana Gurschi said the Prosecutor General's Office is examining the case concerning the alleged debt of 15 million lei very slowly and does not take into account the conclusions of the Audit Office, which carried out four inspections at the Electric Transport Company and identified no debts.
Gurschi suggested publishing all the documents collected by the local authorities in this case on the City Hall's website www.Chisinau.md so that the population knows what's going on at the municipal company.
A hearing to cancel the freeze was to take place at the Supreme Court of Justice on May 6, but was postponed until June 10.
