After protesting in front of the Chisinau City Hall and the Government, employees of the Chisinau Trolleybus Company came to demand that director Gheorghe Morgoci be dismissed at the Palace of the Republic, where the legislative body holds its sittings, Info-Prim Neo reports. About 20 employees of the company chanted “Morgoci is a Destroyer”, “Down with the Morgoci-Chirtoaca Pact” etc. They said fewer employees come to the protests as Gheorghe Morgoci threatens them with physical harassment. Former trolleybus driver Galina Harea said she was fired three months ago after Gheorghe Morgoci saw her at the Chisinau City Hall, when she went to complain to deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu about the poor working conditions and low salaries. Another employee of the company, who wished to remain anonymous as she has one year and a half until retirement age and is afraid to be discharged, said that after Gheorghe Morgoci took over the company, employees' salaries decreased by about 500 lei. “Where do the large sums of money that come to Moldova go? Surely not to the poor. Maybe to the house of Mayor Chirtoaca, which is being built by Morgoci in Durlesti,” the woman said. “The situation of the company has worsened. We are afraid we will remain without jobs one day because the trolleybuses are in a deplorable condition,” said driver Iurie Iasitski. After the previous protests, Gheorghe Morgoci said he does not intend to resign from the post of director as there are no reasons for doing so.
