The 45th World Armwrestling Championship and the 26th World Para-Armwrestling Championship will take place during August 15-25 in Chisinau. The events will involve more than 1,500 contestants, officials and supporters from over 60 participating countries, IPN reports.

“The event will not only put Chisinau on the map of international sport, but will also promote the values of inclusion, diversity and unity through sport. The competition will provide a platform for athletes where they will demonstrate their talent, determination and team spirit,” said the General Division of Education, Youth and Sports.

The World Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling Championship is part of the municipal program to co-finance projects for sports and other sports activities of local and international level of the Chisinau City Hall.
