The second meeting of the European Political Community will take place in Chisinau on June 1, 2023. An official invitation in this regard was signed by President Maia Sandu and the President of European Council Charles Michel and was sent to the heads of state and government of the participating states, IPN reports.

A number of 47 heads of state and government and the leaders of the European Union are expected to take part in the event. The meeting will center on the joint efforts for peace in the context of the war in Ukraine and the related crises, defense of democracy, strengthening of energy security and the European states’ resilience.

The European Political Community was founded last year on the initiative of the President of France Emmanuel Macron. The first meeting of the Community was held in October 2022 in Prague.
