The Athletics Indoor Championship of Moldova takes place in Chisinau on February 7 and 8. The competition opens at the Athletics Arena at 1:30pm on February 7, IPN reports.

Seniors and juniors born in 1996-97 will compete in such events as hammer throw, discus throw, javelin throw, shot put, long jump (including pentathlon), height jump, pole vault, and triple jump.

The major goal of the competition is to select athletes for the European Athletics Indoor Championship, the Long Throw Cup of Europe, and the Balkan Indoor Championship.
