Chisinau to host German Film Days July 19-21

Four artistic films and a documentary could be seen free of charge during the German Film Days in Chisinau at the Patria Loteanu Cineplex on July 19-21. The event is organzied by Goethe – Zentrum Chisinau and Goethe-Institute Bucharest, IPN reports.

“As at the previous editions, predilection is given to recently made German films that enjoyed public approval and the appreciation of expert juries, being awarded at international level too. This way, during three days we will present popular pictures of such German filmmakers as Caroline Link, Maren Ade, Sebastian Heinzel, Christian Petzold and Til Schweiger,” Goethe – Zentrum Chisinau posted on social media.

The festival is opened at 6pm on July 19 with the film
Head Full of Honey” by Til Schweiger. On July 20, at 4pm, there will be shown the film “When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit” by Caroline Link, while at 6pm – “Transit” by Christian Petzold with Paula Beer and Franz Rogowski. On July 21, at 4pm, there will be screened the documentary “War in Me” by Sebastian Heinzel, while at 6pm – the film “Toni Erdmann” by Maren Ade.

The films will be shown in German with Romanian subtitles.
